Having gained valuable experience with the development squad and senior County football, Carley, one
of our local girls, has a great future in the game.
Janine Butterly
Our club Captain, Janine leads the team with
fantastic energy. Works overtime to drive the team. With County honours, she’s a born leader.
Maria Custodio
A
new arrival from Portugal. Previously played for Benfica and Portugal. Naturally gifted, two footed wide player. Quickly at
home on left or right side. Shows great potential. Will be a massive asset to the club this year.
Dawna Dennett
A tremendous
player with great attributes, quick, brave, powerful. Scores goal for fun. England Universities player. County caps. Quality
talent.
Leanne Griffith
A Plymouth girl, Leanne joined Newquay from Plymouth Oak Villa. A tower of strength in our back line.
County honours. A super athlete.
Lisa
Hegarty
Lisa has been with the club one season, gaining her experience with
Liverpool FC. A bubbly character in the dressing room and on the field. County honours.
Candy Hobson
A new arrival
from Cheltenham Town. Very hard tackling, hard working mid field dynamo. Likes to get forward and has her share of goals.
Plays the game with a smile on her face.
Jane
Hurley
Jane, our most experienced player, oozes class with her lightning pace
and lethal finishing. Our original trump card. Jane has played at the highest level.
Jess Longworth
Jess, another County player, is a
giant in the heart of our defence. A player of great strength and stature. A gifted talent.
Lauren Mayer
Another fantastic asset for the club.
Started at a very early age in America, played in Japan for a top side and for her North Carolina University. A hughly experienced
keeper and field player (Currently recovering from extensive knee surgery).
Emma Pritchard
Emma, the youngest player involved in
the squad, a natural two footed player with massive attributes. One to watch.
Annie Richards
One of our original “ladies.”
Trickery is her forte. Annie strikes the ball sweet as a nut. County player with natural talent.
Holly Sandow
A local girl,
Holly played originally for Penzance and collected full County caps. Holly vacated Cornwall for a bright future with Bath
City where she proved herself a quality striker, and has now returned.
Hayley Stroud
Another local girl, a great competitor
who also gained full County caps at seventeen years of age. A popular utility player within the club.
Carla Ward
One
of the first on the team sheet, a natural wizard with the ball. Played Premiership football with Bristol City and England
Universities, and County level. A real gem.
Laura
Wensley
An ex-Yeovil Town player with vast experience. Laura joined Newquay
two years ago. Gained County cap last season. Quiet but a tiger in the tank.
Vicky White
Strong defender, rarely beaten. Very quick, known for
her sliding and perfectly timed interventions. Many strikers have felt the full force of her crunching tackles.
